Water is one of the five compositions that the body is made of- the others being earth, fire, air and ether. Like the earth, our body is 70 percent water and the greatest change that we can make to be both is to be adequately hydrated. Adequate intake of potable water is essential for our body to be healthy, and a lack of water can lead to several dysfunctionalities.
Drink plain pure water everyday. You need 35 ml. per kilogram of your body weight ( for a normal adult).
Only pure water--- not tea or coffee as they are diuretics.
On waking up it is best to drink water first thing as you literally need to turn on the engine of your body. Equate it to starting a car without waiting for the engine to warm up in the middle of winter.
Also drink water before a meal as it helps you feel fuller. Also sometimes we think we feel hungry when actually we are dehydrated and thirsty.
Avoid drinking water with your meals as you dilute your digestive enzymes. Wait for half an hour before you drink water.

Use glass bottles as they are completely natural and 100 percent recyclable.
