Community-supported Agriculture

Community-supported agriculture (CSA) is a system that connects the producer and consumers within the food system more closely. It is a module where the consumers support the farmers with the commitment to source their products from the farmers on a long-term basis. CSAs generally focus on the production of high quality foods for a local community, often using organic or biodynamic farming methods, producing harvest that is superior in quality and environmental-friendly. It also promises more transparency thus leading to stronger consumer-producer relationships.
